By producing frontier research in the areas of state capabilities, firms and energy, IGC Ghana aims to promote evidence based policymaking in the country and generate ideas for Ghana’s growth.
India (Bihar)
Since its inception in 2009, IGC Bihar has provided on-demand policy advice to various departments of the Bihar government, and has funded more than 30 research projects addressing diverse themes.
India (Central)
IGC India Central focuses on firm productivity growth, urbanisation, infrastructure, energy and state effectiveness (including macroeconomics, finance and human development).
Liberia
The IGC Sierra Leone program started in 2010 and focuses on the issues of trade, governance, health and agriculture.
Mozambique
IGC Mozambique focuses on private sector development, and state effectiveness.
Myanmar

Rwanda

Since February 2013, IGC Liberia has been providing and applying frontier economic research to the central questions in Liberian policymaking.

IGC Uganda focuses on managing resources for growth, promoting regional integration, improved monetary management, investments in people to raise incomes, and inclusive growth.
Zambia
IGC Zambia focuses on domestic resource mobilisation and tax collection, infrastructure and trade and tradable sector development and competitiveness.
The IGC operates programmes in nine partner countries and has ongoing engagements in a further six countries on key government priorities throughout Africa and South Asia. Country offices allow the IGC to be distinctive among international research initiatives in sustaining long-term policy engagement, and helping to ensure our work can be demand-led; they facilitate our work with partners, and deepen sensitivity to the political economy of policymaking.
